verizon communications

developer, communications/ebusiness web team

working with the director of technology to increase corporate communication via streaming video, web applications and wireless media. responsible for development and maintenance of verizon's corporate calendar and local event boards. also responsible for migrating applications to microsoft .net. skills include asp.net, asp, javascript,css/dhtml.

associate architect, ebusiness architecture & technology integration

worked with the senior network architect and working to establish a new group that works under the cto and is dedicated to information consolidation and standards. responsible for managing projects, technology integration and web architecture. also responsible for evaluating the efficiency of existing business processes, infrastructure and contributing to verizon's web services initiative. worked on a top priority project for the cio. skills include jsp, javascript, css/dhtml, oracle 8i, weblogic 6.0 and web services.

software engineer, corporate services

worked with a team of developers to lay the groundwork for verizon's corporate intranet. our work provided a web-based infrastructure that facilitated the transition with bell atlantic, as well as providing a mechanism to boost communication and productivity once the merger completed. also responsible for furthering the knowledge base of employees worldwide through web applications. all applications are enterprise-wide and support over 250,000 employees. designed an n-tier architecture for the delivery of applications to mobile devices and established relations with various companies in the wireless industry.

  • xml task force member- responsible for the effective infusion of xml technologies throughout verizon. gained valuable knowledge concerning the use of xml to deliver content.
  • established als research to examine how various technologies can be integrated within our group.
  • initiated als move to develop applications using lotus and java.
  • researched various solutions that revealed the business value of transitioning to a java development environment. research also included the java 2 micro edition, wireless application protocol, lotus, the use of user interface design and web usability.

project lead

served as a consultant to the senior web designer and web manager on a top priority project for the cio. designed a solution for displaying and administration of headlines on sabre.com. also performed software quality assurance tests and technology architecture.

northrop-grumman

provided direction for web related activities, web software, website deployment and graphic design. aided in the design of a web site generation tool using html, coldfusion, cgi and perl. performed network monitoring and user administration using hp-openview, novell, citrix metaframe and catia mainframes. virtual enterprise research: performed r & d tasks that examined the integration of 3d modeling and virtual reality worlds into ecommerce. designed multi-media using java applets and examined the use of applets to display auto-cad drawings.

nasa/faa (computer associates, formerly sterling software) contract

software engineer

aided in the design of air traffic control software for nasa and the faa, using html, c programming and matlab. software is currently used by dfw and other airports nationwide, also designed a web component.

responsible for creating and coordinating various technology initiatives.

regional telecommunications chair

responsible for the oversight of all internet related activities for all chapters located in central america, south africa, mexico, the mid-west and south central sections of the united states. also responsible for aiding the digital divide initiative.

chapter telecommunications chair projects include an online virtual tour, and an live online talk show using html, java, javascript and real server (g2) streaming video technology.
